The Artist Mixer is a networking event bringing together artists, institutions, small businesses, and placemakers working across downtown, hosted at The Moniker.

The event is designed for artists to connect with each other and for institutions, small businesses, and placemakers to meet artists who can help activate their spaces and contribute to the downtown experience. The room brings together artists alongside venues, developers, and organizations looking to collaborate, program, and support creative work.

The program includes speakers, live music and other performances, and the awarding of microgrants.

The event is hosted by Ivey Amour, Britteney Ofodile of The Moniker, and Allie Magee of Pattan & Co. and Futuremakers. Ivey Amour, the first Futuremakers grantee, is curating the room and guest experience in partnership with The Moniker.

During the event, Futuremakers will award four $250 microgrants to artists launching a new live performance series at The Moniker.

Grant applications will launch by April 2.
